Suggestions?

Hey tumblr! I need some advice. I have a little over 300 friends on here, but I only get between 2 and 10 notes per post. That is only 1% to 3% reach, and tells me I’m doing something wrong. My wife Rebecca for instance has over 1500 friends, but gets between 400 and 1000 notes per image. That is a faaaaar higher percentage. I asked her what I should do different, but she doesn’t seem to know. She suggested posting more cute non threatening things and fan art for video games and other popular forms of media, but you guys that know me realize that isn’t gonna happen. I post what I post, which seems to get an enthusiastic response on facebook and even on the ghost town that is livejournal, but not here.

Should I post at a certain time of day? What is it?

I’d love some reasons for why I’m a failure at tumblr, and some ways I can do better!

Was just browsing though a copy of SWANK magazine from Feb. 1981, and saw this ad for a 1cc vial of “Hot Pulsating Pussy scent”, and thought the internet should know that this was a thing that existed.

I like how exited they are at the beginning: “YES WE’VE DONE IT!”. I’m imagining a couple of guys in lab coats with panties on their heads jumping up and down in celebration

Here’s a treat for Avon fans! Love that Times Square marquee. It is now a giant overpriced store that sells nothing but M+M candy merchandise to tourists. Avon was the first in New York to screen “beaver” films.

Scanned from the March 1967 issue of Sportsman, a porn magazine. There are so many more entertaining negative remarks and insults directed at the young rebelling iconoclasts of the 1960s in this article (“ne’er do wells”, and “refugees from civilization” among them), but I’ll leave it at that.
